JAD Youth Advisory Board

The JAD YAB- Justice Administrative Department: Youth Advisory Board was created to uplift youths’ opinions who have been impacted by the juvenile justice system. jad’s purpose is to host a community of young individuals who are navigating through the effects of being detained and sharing their experiencess with the hope that this will invoke change in the Harris County Juvenile Justice System. While uplifting youth voices and experiences, jad also focuses on community service, professional development, personal development, and provides free mental health services to members. Collective Action 4 Youth is actively looking for opportunities to engage and propel youth forward in job seeking and advocacy, and arming them with the tools needed to live a sustainable and fulfilling life.

What makes you interested in the YAB?

Collective Action 4 Youth JAD YAB has amplified my voice when no one cared to fix the problem at hand for us. They are behind us and know that we are the future.

JAD is a good experience for teenagers in my shoes and a good way to help turn your life around while you can. I also love the environment created by the YAB and how much joy everyone has in it.

I want to help kids that had an unfair advantage like me.
